Remember, when you are dropshipping, you are probably selling the same products as your competitors. To dropship successfully, you will need to;
- Have a marketing plan
- Be able to differentiate yourself from your competition (customization is key here)
- Add value to your product – For example, providing instructions or guides to a product that your competitors do not, your buyers would be willing to pay the extra tagged on to your dropshipped product
- Provide outstanding service
- Specialize – It is tempting to add as many products as you can to see which sells as you do not have to pay for inventory. This is a very common mistake for first-time dropshippers. Successful dropshippers will have a laser-focus on either a single product, or a specific category of products.
